Meet Benite-Ange in New York!
"It’s a great way to discover yourself and gain a different perspective on life."
Why did you choose to go abroad?
I chose to go abroad because international work experience adds real value to a résumé. Nowadays, the job market is becoming increasingly competitive, so it’s important to stand out and distinguish yourself from other candidates.

How does the US culture differ from your culture and what has impressed you most so far?
One thing I’ve noticed in New York is how fast-paced and independent people are compared to what I’m used to. At the same time, people are quite open to meeting new people, and I really like how international the city feels. What impressed me most is how multicultural everyday life is. You can meet people from completely different backgrounds in the same workplace or neighborhood.

Could you take us for a day in your life? What is your routine?
My day usually starts around 8 a.m. I start work at 9 and take my lunch break around noon. I usually finish between 5:30 and 6 p.m. After work, I either go to the gym, meet friends, or stay home and read a book.

How has this experience abroad helped you to grow personally?
This experience has taught me to be more resilient and independent, especially when facing challenges on my own. Being abroad can sometimes feel lonely, but it has also helped me become more comfortable with being on my own and more confident in adapting to new situations.

Why would you recommend others to do a program abroad?
Absolutely, 100%! Living abroad pushes you out of your comfort zone, helps you grow and mature, and allows you to develop new skills much faster. It’s also a great way to discover yourself and gain a different perspective on life.
If you could express your experience in three words, what would these be?
Adapting, Exploring, Evolving.
