A financial services company in Mauritius is looking for a driven individual to join their team. The ideal candidate will analyse data to identify trends and insights, support the development of machine learning models, and contribute to automating reporting, model workflows, and performance monitoring, while gaining experience in a financial services environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Analyse data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improving existing models, scorecards, and processes.
• Collaborate with the team to create automated reports and dashboards that track how models perform and provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
• Maintain and improve the infrastructure supporting the development, deployment, and production lifecycle of machine learning models.
• Participate in automating workflows for tasks like model training, validation, and monitoring.
• Dive into real-world data to design and develop machine learning models for credit scoring, risk assessment, fraud detection, and more.
• Ensure models provide meaningful, actionable insights that help drive key business decisions.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled as a student.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
• Experience or a strong interest in data and analytics.
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python and SQL.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude.
• Great communication skills, both for discussing technical solutions and presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders.
