To make your experience as convenient as possible, we can arrange accommodation in a shared residence with other international students, located on the coast and just five minutes from the beach. Stage-Global offers a full-service internship program in Mauritius, with housing arranged included in your program fees. You’ll have your own private bedroom in a shared house or apartment, typically with two other international interns, while sharing the bathroom, kitchen, and living areas. Our accommodations are located near Mauritius’s beautiful white-sand beaches, giving you easy access to the island’s stunning surroundings. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with other international students throughout the year, helping you build a social network and feel at home from the moment you arrive.
Our internship programs are available year-round and typically last between 2 and 6 months. We recommend starting the process with Stage-Global 4 to 6 months before your desired start date. This allows sufficient time to secure your internship placement and complete the necessary visa and immigration arrangements.
Complete our online application form, and a Stage-Global representative will contact you to schedule a free online intake meeting.
During your intake meeting, we’ll learn more about your background, goals, and internship preferences. We’ll also explain the Stage-Global process and answer any questions you may have. Following the intake meeting, we’ll let you know whether we can proceed with your application based on your qualifications and placement preferences. At this stage, you can also decide whether you’d like to move forward with the program.
To officially register, you’ll sign the Program Agreement and pay a $500 deposit, which will be credited toward your total program fee once your internship placement is secured.
Once we receive your deposit, we’ll help you prepare your resume and motivation letter. We provide examples and personal guidance to ensure your documents effectively present your experience and skills to potential employers.
You’ll be assigned a Stage-Global Placement Coordinator who will be your primary contact throughout the placement process. We will start with a coaching session to ensure you’re fully prepared. Your coordinator will update you on new opportunities and is available for any placement enquiries.
We identify suitable internship opportunities, coordinate interviews, and support your selection process through offer acceptance.
Once a host organization confirms and you accept the position, Stage-Global finalizes the internship contract and collects required documents. Upon placement confirmation is when the remaining program fee is charged.
We provide you with all the pre-departure materials, arrangement of your housing, insurance, visa application and arrival instructions to ensure a smooth transition to your destination.
Stage-Global will arrange your airport pickup and housing. Throughout your internship, Stage-Global provides ongoing communication, compliance support, networking opportunities, and assistance with any program-related questions.

Yes, paid placements are possible, depending on the duration of your internship as well as the industry.
Your intake meeting with Stage-Global is free. After the meeting, we assess your eligibility and determine whether we can proceed with your placement. While we have a strong placement success rate for qualified candidates, placements cannot be guaranteed. If we are unable to secure a placement, a partial refund of your deposit may be offered. The applicable Terms & Conditions will be explained during your intake meeting.
No, your intern program can not be extended. The maximum duration of the program is 6 months.
Requests to change host organizations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Any change must be approved by Stage-Global before it takes place, and the new host organization must meet all program requirements.
Yes. All Exchange Visitors are required to maintain health and accident insurance for the entire duration of their program. Stage-Global arranges compliant insurance for all participants, so you are covered from the start of your program.
Stage-Global provides emergency contact information before your departure. If an emergency occurs during your program, contact us as soon as possible so we can assist you and, if necessary, coordinate with your host organization and insurance provider. Stage-Global has a local coordinator in Mauritius to provide local support.
