Why did you choose to go abroad?

I decided to pursue an international experience to explore the world through the lens of architecture and design, broaden my awareness, and immerse myself in new cultural perspectives and ways of living.

How does the US culture differ from your culture and what has impressed you most so far?

There is a noticeable difference in work organization compared to Argentina. The efficiency, pace, and workflow within an architectural studio really surprised me, and I have also been deeply impressed by how welcoming and kind everyone is.

Could you take us for a day in your life? What is your routine?

My day usually starts at 7:30 AM when I wake up and take the bus to the office. I work from 9:00 to 5:00, with an hour for lunch in between. At the office, I spend my time working on the computer, developing designs, and collaborating with my coworkers in meetings. On other days, I get to go on site visits! After finishing work at 5:00 PM, I always love to head out to a square or a mall to walk around, drink with some mates, and enjoy exploring such an incredible city like Chicago. I head back home around 8:00 PM, work out a bit, and get ready for dinner and a good rest before another day of adventures.

How has this experience abroad helped you to grow personally?

This experience has helped me grow on multiple levels. Stepping out of my comfort zone and adapting to a different language and culture has equipped me with new communication and problem-solving skills. Beyond gaining financial independence and a broader perspective on life, this journey has fostered a deep sense of personal autonomy across every aspect of my life.

Why would you recommend others to do a program abroad?

I would definitely recommend it to everyone! If given the chance, it is an unmissable journey. Practicing your profession and building your career in a completely different country is an incredible feeling. It allows you to learn from a new culture, opens countless doors, and shifts your perspective on life. It drives comprehensive growth across both your career and your personal life.

If you could express your experience in three words, what would these be?

Adventure. Achievement. Appreciation.
