Timing & Processing

Placement timelines vary depending on your field, experience, and location preferences. We recommend applying at least 3 to 6 months before your desired program start date to allow sufficient time for placement, sponsorship processing, and visa preparation. Last-minute placements may be possible depending on availability, so please contact Stage-Global to discuss your timeline.

Housing

Stage-Global provides a housing guide to help you find suitable accommodations in the United States. We offer practical guidance, recommended housing websites, and local tips to support your search. Many participants choose to book temporary accommodation, such as a hotel or Airbnb, for their first few nights so they can view properties in person before signing a lease.

Alternative Placement Program:  J-1 Intern

If you do not yet have the professional experience required for the J-1 Trainee category, you may be eligible for the J-1 Intern program instead. Designed for current post-secondary students and recent graduates, the Intern category allows participants to gain practical experience in their field of study through structured internships in the United States.
